“BAYFRONT…an area that fronts on the bay”
On Long Beach Island (LBI) bayfront properties front Barnegat Bay on the northern end of the Island, Manahawkin Bay centrally, and Little Egg Harbor Bay on the southern end of the Island. Most bayfronts have bulkheads along the waterline and some have sandy shorelines with a few having a combination of bulkhead and a sandy shore. Bayfront properties most often offer boat dockage through ownership of a riparian grant or a riparian lease through the State of New Jersey. Bayfront views are spectacular, ever changing and capture magnificent sunsets. Still mornings offer glimpses of wildlife, afternoons can be spent viewing boats passing in the distance, evening sunsets are captivating, and nightfall offers views of shimmering lights across the bay and the “string of pearls” our Causeway Bridge. Most of the bayfront locations in Loveladies and North Beach offer convenient deeded ocean access on an adjacent ocean block private lane across Long Beach Boulevard. For those bayfronts that do not include deeded ocean access, it is wise to locate the nearest public beach access before making a purchase.
