On Long Beach Island (LBI) ocean block and oceanside properties are located on the eastern side of the main road, Long Beach Boulevard, and do not own any water frontage. The advantage to living on an ocean block or oceanside location is the convenience to the beach in addition to the opportunity to capture ocean views and hear the sounds of the surf. Ocean block property locations offer access to the beach without crossing any side streets. Oceanside locations are on the Southend of LBI beginning in Brant Beach with a few side streets to cross to get to the beach. Many families with young children prefer to be on the ocean block or ocean side so that they do not need to cross the main road with kids (and all of the things that go with them) in tow to get to the beach. Some ocean block locations offer great views and all offer easy beach access.
